Etymologi
[fsv. bebindilse, motsv. fd. bebindelse]
(†) vbalsbst. till föreg. — konkretare.
1) till BEBINDA 3, i fråga om metaller: förening, blandning, halt; jfr ALLIGATION 1. Stegen i Fijnheten; thet är, Metallernes bebindelsze, tillsättning, eller förblandelsze medh huar andra. Stiernhielm Arch. G 1 a (1644; i marg. förklaradt med lat. liga, ligatura, fr. aloy, t. gehalt). Gullet beblandas med Silfweret, och Silfweret medh Koppar mehr eller minder, och then beblandelsen kallas Håldh (dvs. halt), eller bebindelse. Risingh Kiöph. 46 (1669).
2) till BEBINDA 3 a: (äktenskaplig) förbindelse; jfr ALLIANS 2. Oredo, vthi Gifftermåls handlingar, .. medh hemlige Copulationer och bebindelser. Resol. 10 Mars 1665, s. A 2 a.
3) [jfr motsv. anv. i fsv. o. fd.] till BEBINDA 3 b: öfverenskommelse, aftal, förbund, allians; jfr BEBUND, BEBINDNING 1.
